Improve your chances of winning by solving clues released by @MyArtistsClues as we pass sales milestones to reveal the identity of six connected artists.

   The answer to the first clue was, of course, Leonard Cohen, who declares I was born like that, I had no choise, I was born with the gift of a golden voice. When we reached 1,000 sales @shutterT was randomly chosen as the winner of a $50 iTunes gift card.

   During the recording of Death of a Ladies' Man, producer Phil Spector held a revolver to Leonard Cohen's neck and declared “I love you Leonard”, to which Leonard responed “I hope you do Phil.” When we reached 2,000 sales @rodiak was randomly chosen as the winner of a $100 iTunes gift card.

   Phil Spector considered his production of River Deep, Mountain High his best work but never considered Tina Turner simply the best, declaring at Ike Turner's funeral that Ike had made her the jewel she was. When we reached 3,000 sales @b12arr0 was randomly chosen as the winner of $150 in iTunes gift cards.

   If we reach 4,000 sales, we will release Clue 5 and randomly choose the winner of a 32GB iPod Touch. Priority is given to entrants who correctly solve this clue: Pray together… in the conservatory… without the grits..

   If we reach 5,000 sales, we will release Clue 6 and randomly choose the winner of a 16GB WiFi iPad. Priority is given to entrants who correctly solve Clue 5.

   If we reach 6,000 sales, as well as giving a 64GB WiFi iPad to one lucky winner, we will release My Artists with Coverflow as a free update for all 6000 users. Turn your device on its side to flick through artist photos just as you do with album art in the iPod.

1. The promoter of this competition is Top Drawer Apps (“Promoter”). Apple is not a promoter of, nor is responsible for conducting, this competition.
2. The competition will begin at 9:00AM UTC on Wednesday 25 August 2010 ("Beginning") and end at 11:59PM UTC on Friday 24 December 2010 ("End").
3. To fulfill the Basic Requirement and enter the competition, the entrant must post a tweet on Twitter linking to myartistsapp.com and containing the hashtag “#myartists”. Any other text may be added to the tweet at the discretion of the entrant. The entrant may elect to solve Clues released by Twitter user @MyArtistsClues and submit their answers using the the entry form at http://bit.ly/cCpkl0. This may increase the entrants chances of successfully winning one of the Prizes as outlined below. No proof of purchase of The App is required of the entrant.
4. The competition is broken into six (6) Stages, each marked by the release of a new Clue. At the Beginning one Clue will be released and subsequent Clues will be released one by one if sales of The App reach designated Milestones.
5. The “24 Hour Clause” states that no more than one Clue will be released within any 24 hour period. If a designated Milestone is reached within 24 hours of the previous Clue being released the following clue will be released once 24 hours have elapsed from the time of publication of the previous Clue.
6. The competition has six (6) Prizes. One winner of each Prize will be selected randomly once the Promoter announces that sales of The App have surpassed the Milestone associated with that Prize. To qualify for the Priority Draw at each of the stages an entrant must have successfully solved the Clue(s) appropriate to that stage as outlined below. A winner will be randomly selected in a Priority Draw unless no qualifying entries have been received, in which case a winner will be randomly selected from all entrants that have met the Basic Requirements for entry as stated above.
7. The first Prize is an iTunes gift card with value of 50 USD or cash equivalent of 50 USD. The associated sales Milestone is 1,000 units, at which point the second Clue will be released (under condition of the 24 Hour Clause). An entry will be considered as qualifying for the Priority Draw for this Prize if the entrant correctly solves the first Clue.
8. The second Prize is an iTunes gift card with value of 100 USD or cash equivalent of 100 USD. The associated sales Milestone is 2,000 units, at which point the third Clue will be released (under condition of the 24 Hour Clause). An entry will be considered as qualifying for the Priority Draw for this Prize if the entrant correctly solves the first two Clues.
9. The third Prize is iTunes gift cards with a combined value of 150 USD or cash equivalent of 150 USD. The associated sales Milestone is 3,000 units, at which point the fourth Clue will be released (under condition of the 24 Hour Clause). An entry will be considered as qualifying for the Priority Draw for this Prize if the entrant correctly solves the first three Clues .
10. The fourth Prize is a 32GB iPod Touch or cash equivalent of 299 USD. The associated sales Milestone is 4,000 units, at which point the fifth Clue will be released (under condition of the 24 Hour Clause). An entry will be considered as qualifying for the Priority Draw for this Prize if the entrant correctly solves the first four Clues .
11. The fifth Prize is a 16GB Wifi iPad or cash equivalent of 499 USD. The associated sales Milestone is 5,000 units, at which point the sixth Clue will be released (under condition of the 24 Hour Clause). An entry will be considered as qualifying for the Priority Draw for this Prize if the entrant correctly solves the first five Clues .
12. The sixth Prize is a 64GB Wifi iPad or cash equivalent of 699 USD. The associated sales Milestone is 6,000 units. An entry will be considered as qualifying the Priority Draw for for this Prize if the entrant correctly solves all six Clues .
13. By meeting the Basic Requirement the entrant is eligible to win just one (1) Prize throughout the competition. However the entrant may submit answers to Clues at each Stage of the competition and if the answers are correct will become eligible to win one (1) Prize at each Stage.
14. Once a qualifying entry has been randomly selected as the winner, we will contact the entrant by direct message or public reply on twitter. The entrant will have seven (7) days to claim their Prize. If the entrant does not reply within seven (7) days they will forfeit the Prize and another winner will be randomly selected.
15. The winner may choose between the named prize or the cash equivalent if based in the U.S.A. If the winner cannot provide a shipping address in the U.S.A. they will be awarded the cash equivalent. The winner is responsible for any taxes associated with receipt of the Prizes. Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prizes with other prizes of equal or greater value if the Prizes are not available for any reason.
16. If a sales Milestone associated with a particular Prize is not reached by the End of the competition the offer of that Prize is nullified.
17. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees of Promoter and family members of such employees are not eligible to enter.
18. By participating in this competition, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Promoter from any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the competition.
